HAIR AT SURGICARE is not just another corner shop offering cheap and substandard hair grafting. It is a state-of-the art centre and is a welcome addition to our full-fledged cosmetic surgery facility. While this is a new service we are introducing in our clinic, our team has nearly 10 years experience, practicing the craft of hair transplantation. Hair Transplantation is a relatively complication free procedure, but it nevertheless requires complete sterile conditions to minimize any risk of infection and ensure maximum graft uptake. The centre is developed to cater for our sophisticated clientele who expect Western standards. Supervised by Surgeon Shahab, who has a long-standing reputation and reliability in the field of Cosmetic Surgery, you can rest assured that you will not be disappointed. The techniques used at our centre are so refined that after a weekend of recovery period, most clients are able to resume normal business activities.
The Centre is the vision of Dr Shahab, who after visiting advanced hair transplantation centres in USA, UK and Europe, wanted to introduce similar standards in Pakistan. To this end he himself acquired advanced training in hair transplantation techniques and was awarded a certificate by the American Academy. Hair transplantation is a teamwork and we are proud to have with us Dr Manzoor, MBBS, member ISHRS, who has successfully performed thousands of hair grafting operations. Dr Mazoor and Dr Shahab personally supervise the team to ensure consistency of results. Although Dr Shahab’s is primarily based in the UK, where he performs majority of his Cosmetic Surgery and Hair Transplantation procedures, he closely monitors all procedures performed in our centre. In his absence, Dr Manzoor, along with our skilled team of technicians, takes on the responsibility of performing the procedures to the highest standards. Depending on your suitability, you will be offered the option of traditional strip grafting or Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).
Patients living in the UK have the additional benefit of have their preoperative assessment and postoperative follow-up by Dr Shahab in the UK. They can have their hair graft procedure either in the UK or in Pakistan. Unlike other Centres in Pakistan and abroad, we have our own ‘permanent team’ of experienced technicians, so we expect an extremely high graft take nearing 95 %, though individual results may vary.
Depending on individual requirements, either FUE or Strip excision technique is chosen. With our trichophitic closure of every donor site, even the scar of strip excision is almost unnoticeable in majority of cases.
