Dr Shahab Mahdi is a highly qualified and experienced Plastic Surgeon. A graduate of Dow Medical College in Karachi, 1980, he acquired Fellowship of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, FRCS in 1986. On completion of Plastic Surgery Training in the UK, he was awarded a Certificate of Certified Training by British Association of Plastic Surgeons and Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1990. He also acquired a diploma in Cosmetic Surgery from Humana Hospital in London in 1992.
After gaining experience at various NHS Plastic Surgery posts in the UK, Dr Shahab Mahdi started his full time independent cosmetic Surgery practice in the UK in 1997. Prior to that he had held Consultant Plastic Surgeons posts in Saudi Arabia and in Pakistan. He has been associated with Transform, one of the largest Cosmetic surgery clinics in the UK, and is currently one of their leading Surgeons. He has also held the post of the Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee. He performs a full range of cosmetic surgical procedures and has a special interest in Liposuction, Breast Augmentation and Facial cosmetic surgery. With his experience of more than 10,000 successful cosmetic surgery procedures he is one of the most sought after Cosmetic surgeon, both in Pakistan and in the UK.
Manchester is his main operating base but he consults in various cities including Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, Preston and Newcastle in the UK and also in Karachi, Pakistan. Though patients have to travel to Manchester for their operations, they can have the after care in their local clinics. Even patients from Pakistan who have their operations in Manchester can have their follow-up after care in Karachi.
Dr Shahab is internationally renowned for his special interest in liposuction. He has experience of methods of liposuction that have evolved, including Traditional Liposuction, Tumescent Liposuction, Ultrasonic liposuction (Liposonix and Vaser), Body-jet or Water-jet liposuction and Power Liposuction, both with MicroAire and Euromi Vibroliposuction. Having experimented with all techniques, he believes that Vibroliposuction produces the best possible results in his hands, as it is a very precise and gentle way of removing large volumes of fat without any risks of skin sagging and produce smooth contours, without dents and dimples, which is one of the side effect of traditional liposuction. He has also used Laser Liposuction in the UK but at present Vibroliposuction is his preferred tool for all areas of liposuction. He is the pioneer of Vibroliposuction in Pakistan and was the first surgeon to introduce this technology in Karachi in 2001.
Following advanced training in latest techniques in hair grafting, he has helped in the development of a state-of-the art hair transplantation centre at Surgicare and acquired the services of most highly skilled and experienced doctors and technicians in this field.

Dr Tahir Shaikh is a graduate of Dow Medical College, Karachi, 1982, and acquired FRCS from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1990. He also completed his Plastic Surgery Training organized by British Association of Plastic Surgeons and Royal College of Surgeons of England before returning to Pakistan.
