Will I meet my surgeon before the day of my procedure?
A. Yes, you will have ample opportunity to meet your surgeon well before the operation date, so that you may have time to reflect and the opportunity to fully understand the potential risks.
Will I need and overnight stay in hospital?
A. Depending on the nature of your operation, you may be able to go home the same day or stay in for one night after the operation. certain operations, like Tummy Tuck may require a 2 night stay.
Are the procedures carried out in your clinics?
A. Yes, all your treatment will be performed in our fully equipped and registered Health Care facility which is a Specialist Cosmetic Surgery Clinic.
If I have a non-surgical procedure can I go back to work afterwards?
A. Yes, all non surgical procedures are performed on an outpatient basis.
Can I get financial help to pay for my surgery?
A. We regret that currently we have no such arrangement.
Will I need someone to help me get home after surgery?
A. Yes, you will not be able to drive home, even if you had your operation under local Anaesthesia and sedation and you must make some arrangements for someone to drive you home. If you need our help, please let us know in advance.
What happens if I have some questions once I’m home?
A. You will be given several emergency contact numbers. Remember that we will only be a call away.
Will I have my own private room?
A. Yes, all our patients enjoy the benefit of full privacy
Will I see my surgeon after surgery?
A. You will not be sent home unless the surgeon has seen you and ensured that it is safe for you to go home.
How often will I need to visit the clinic after my surgery?
A. Depending on the nature of your operation and the speed of your recovery, you may need one to several visits after the operation, to ensure your recovery is on track.
When will my stitches come out?
A. If there are any, depending on the nature of the operation, they may need to be removed between 5 days to 2 weeks.
Will I have visible scars?
A. Any surgical operation is followed by a period of scarring that may vary from person to person.
Do I need to inform my own doctor first?
A. It is always a good ida to keep your primary physician informed. However, this is not compulsory.
Can I continue smoking ?
A. Smoking increases the risk of complications after any operation. For certain operations like facelift or breast reduction and uplift or Tummy Tuck, it is essential to stop smoking for several weeks before the operation. You must also avoid nicotine patches or alternative chewing gums to keep nicotine out of your system.
How should I prepare for my operation?
A. Your surgeon will give you a set of comprehensive written instructions. In general stop smoking and avoid taking blood thinning stuff like Aspirin and Vitamin E. In general, stop all supplementary herbals and vitamins.
Will the breast implants stop me from breastfeeding?
A. Breast feeding is perfectly safe after breast feeding, but the shape of breasts may be changed, so you may choose not to breast feed for cosmetic reasons.
Is there a problem with Mammograms after Breast Implants?
A. With modern techniques, this is no more a problem. You just need to tell the radiologist that you have implants.
